Single Vision Lens - This lens type correct vision at only one viewing distance can be either distance vision , intermediate vision , or near vision.
Bifocal Lens - This lens type correct vision at two different viewing distances these distances is normally distance vision and near vision these are visible line bifocal lenses.
Trifocal Lens - This lens type correct vision at three different viewing distances these distances are normally distance vision , intermediate vision , near vision these lenses are visible line trifocals.
Progressive Lens - This lens type corrects vision like a trifocal lens at multiple viewing distances ,distance vision ,intermediate vision , near vision , And all vision between distance and near vision.
Computer Lens - This lens type is design for people who work and spend long amounts of time on the computer corrects vision at the arms length distances middle range distances nomally 22 to 28 inches or two feet these lenses are available in single vision and progressive lens form.
Occupational Lens - This lens type is use to correct vision at many different variable viewing distances these distance depends on the particular viewing distance needed it is normally for job related task.
High Definition Lens - This lens design is produce by a process call digital lens surfacing it's the process of placing the entire prescription on the back surface of the l ens, Normally Rx's are place on the front and back surface of a lens resulting in uneven blending of the lens power curves but with digital lens surfacing all lens power curves blended together evenly resulting in perfect natural vision all viewing area's are increase by 30% including peripheral vision. ,
Lens Material
CR39 1.50 - The normal standard plastic lens material commonly use for light Rx's advantages this material is half the weight of glass and provides good optical clarity.
Clear Glass - The first lens material use for eyeglass lenses , Advantages has superior optics oppose to plastic lens materials disadvantages is its twice the weight of plastic lens material.
Polycarbonate - A very tough high impact resistant lens material used for children and saftey eyeglasses , this material is 20% lighter and thinner than cr39 plastic and has good optics. This lens material is also used for semi rimless and full rimle frames also sports glasses.
Mid & High Index - This lens material is design for people with high and very high Rx's , this lens material reduces the weight and thickness of a lens from 20% to 50% depending on it's index of refraction and is available in combination with many other lens materials types also provides great optical clarity.
Trivex - Phoenix - An super tough high impact resistant lens material 10% lighter and 25% tougher than polycarbonate , this lens material is a excellent choice for children , saftey and sport eyeglasses also rimless frames has a higher tinsel strenght that polycabonate can absorb more stress when dilling holes for rimless frames.
Transition - A light sensitive lens material that when expose to the out door sun light darkens to a sunglasses shade and when indoors lightens back to a clear normal pair of glasses. This lens material can be combine with many other lens materials to suit the needs of the wearer this lens is great people who wish to avoid the expense of two separate pairs of eyeglasses one for normal wear and one for sun wear and just want one pair of eyeglasses to do it all. Transition lenses works best with glare free coating.
Photochromic Glass - The same as transition lens material but in glass form.
Lens Enhancements
Color Tints - Color tints are use for two purposes one to reduce sun glare glare and two for fashion , colors grey , brown , green are the best colors
to protect the eye from sun glare.
UV coating - This coating se to prevent the harmful Uva & Uvb ultraviolet light that is produce by the sun from damaging the eye.
Scratch resistant coatings - Is a clear tough plastic coating apply to both the front and back surface of a lens to help prevent eyeglass lenses from being scratch this is not is not a scratch proof coating. The best scratch resistant coating availible is a foundation coating this coating is apply in the manufacturing process and can with stand tough handeling.
Anti-reflective coating - A transparent coating apply to the front or back surface of a lens to prevent annoying reflections light from being reflecte back in to the eye ,this coating allows more light to pass though resulting in a better vision this coating also enhances the appearance of a pair of eyeglasses.This coating should be reccomended and use on all eyeglass lenses.
Mirror Coating - This lens coating performs just like a anti reflective coating but has dark opaque colors this is a great lens coating for people who spends alot of time on the beach, Availible in a variety of colors.

High Index 1.67 - Sphere 4.25 to -6.75 / Cylinder 2.50 to -3.50 / Add +1.00 to +3.00
High Index 1.70 & 1.74 - Sphere 7.00 to 12.00 / 4.00 and above / Add +3.25 to +5.00
